Kansas City’s VanTrust Real Estate is planning a $20 million speculative office building in Blue Ash, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati. The new office building is notable: It is the first spec office building in the Cincinnati market since the recession.
VanTrust purchased 8.75 acres from Duke Realty Corp. for about $1.7 million. The developer will break ground on a 143,000-square-foot Class-A office building by the end of October. The building is pure spec, with no tenants signed on.
The new building, at 9999 Carver Road, will be called Landings Park, and will complete the Landings office project that Duke Realty first began developing in 2006.
