Ventas’ Debra A. Cafaro named to Top 100 Best Performing CEOs

Debra A. Cafaro, chairman and CEO of Ventas, Inc. has again been named as one of the Top 100 Best Performing CEOs in the World by Harvard Business Review, her fifth consecutive year on the list. As one of only three women included in 2018, Cafaro is ranked best performing female CEO by financial performance at #43 on the list, ranking in the top 5 percent of all firms measured for this metric.

Cafaro has led Ventas for almost 20 years. She joined the company in 1999 and has expanded the healthcare real estate investment trust’s market capitalization to approximately $26 billion at its peak from $200 million at the beginning of her tenure, and delivered a compound annual total shareholder return of 22 percent since 2000.
