Joshua Randall, vice president of Kwame Building Group, was selected to participate in a Business Leader Briefing at the White House May 24. The briefing is co-hosted by the White House Business Council and Business Forward to bring more business leaders into the policy-making process.
About 25 leaders from St. Louis are expected to participate in the briefing, which is the 33rd in a series of 40 meetings with leaders from cities around the country. According to organizers, the goal is to provide business leaders the opportunity to brief senior administration officials on issues that impact their company’s bottom line, jobs and the economy, and to establish an ongoing conversation between the administration and the business community.
Previous briefings have led to outcomes such as the JOBS Act and Business.USA.gov. Once the series has been completed, Business Forward will compile and deliver a report of recommendations, themes and comments to President Obama in late June.
