W.E. O’Neil Construction announced the substantial completion of Fulton Market’s newest Class A office development. Dubbed Twelve01West, the property is located at 1201 W. Lake Street, Chicago.
The 147,000-square-foot building recently received a Wired Silver certification from WiredScore as a champion of cutting-edge technology and connectivity infrastructure to allow flexibility for future office tenants. This is the first building in Chicago’s Fulton Market District to receive a Wired Silver certification.
The seven-story, exposed concrete structure includes 135,000 square feet of Class A office space and 12,000 square feet of retail space. An exterior window wall system with attenuated glass was installed along the CTA tracks.
The development includes a penthouse amenity space and outdoor deck with skyline views. The configuration of Twelve01West’s core and columns allow for an efficient layout of the interior tenant spaces. The design allows for a corridor on only one side of the core, giving tenants additional flexibility and usable space.
W.E. O’Neil Construction acted as general contractor and oversaw the concrete structure. The building, designed by Antunovich Associates, is owned by McCaffery Interests.
