Walker & Dunlop, Inc. has originated a $27.5 million loan for The Den, a student housing apartment complex located in Columbia, Mo.
This is Walker & Dunlop’s third student housing deal in the Columbia region in the last 12 months.
The Den is a new Class-A student-oriented apartment complex of 158 garden-style apartments less than two miles from the main campus of the University of Missouri. The property offers a mix of two-bedroom and four-bedroom units.
Construction on The Den was completed in July of 2014. The property has swiftly reached a 97 percent occupancy rate.
Senior vice president and managing director Will Baker led the Walker & Dunlop team that structured the 10-year loan with five years of interest only.
