Ware Malcomb chief executive officer, Lawrence R. Armstrong, who is also an accomplished artist, will be exhibiting his work at the Sculpture Objects Functional Art and Design (SOFA) Fair in Chicago, the premier gallery-presented art fair dedicated to three-dimensional art and design.
Critically acclaimed and continuously running since 1994, the SOFA art fair will take place November 1-4, 2018 in Festival Hall at Navy Pier located at 600 East Grand Avenue in Chicago. Approximately 35,000 people are expected to attend the event. Armstrong, who is represented at SOFA Chicago by Joseph Gallery of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, will be exhibiting artwork from his Layered Vision series, including layered metal pieces and layered glass sculptures.
“It is an honor to have my work accepted into this prestigious art fair,” said Armstrong. “SOFA really embraces the intersection of art and design, which I can personally relate to in my work as both an architect and an artist.”
Earlier this month, Armstrong wrapped up a three-week exhibition of his work at the Galleria 360 EmozionArte show in Florence, Italy, and he is currently showing at the Artblend Summer Exhibit in Fort Lauderdale through October 26. Upcoming exhibits include the Spectrum Miami Art Show December 5-9, 2018 and the Art Palm Beach Modern & Contemporary Art Fair January 16-20, 2019.
