Tenants will soon be moving into new apartments on the southern edge of Grand Rapids, Michigan, with the opening of the Wealthy & Sheldon Apartments.
The half-acre at the intersection of Wealthy Street and Sheldon had been vacant and blighted for more than a decade. The new mixed-use campus will fill a need for market-rate housing in an area that is walkable to two large medical communities, Mary Free Bed and Trinity.
The Wealthy & Sheldon Campus will offer 58 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residences and 2,400 square feet of retail space. The apartments feature kitchen islands, quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances and fiber-optic Internet.
Each building also offers indoor bicycle parking and video-controlled access.
Cella Building Company is the builder of the apartments. The architect is Maxam Architecture.
