Weidner Apartment Homes closed a dual community deal on two properties in Minneapolis by acquiring Blue Apartments and Lime Apartments.

Blue Apartments is a two-building, five-story, 242-unit property built in 2008, and Lime Apartments is a singular, six-story building with 171 units built in 2014. The assets are within a block of each other, and due to their proximity, Weidner combined the communities and renamed the properties Blue and Lime Apartments. Blue and Lime offers 21,755 square feet of commercial space and 330,186 square feet of rentable space.

Blue and Lime offers a combined 413 units of studio, one, and two-bedroom homes. Each layout provides modern features like a gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, in-unit laundry, a patio or balcony, and walk-in closets. Each building enjoys its own set of amenities, including an outdoor pool, a spa, a sky deck, a courtyard with gathering spaces and grills, a club room, a cybercafé, and a 24-hour fitness center.

Blue and Lime is in the vibrant Lyn-Lake neighborhood of Minneapolis with an impressive Walk Score™ of 96 and Bike Score™ of 98. The community is along the Midtown Greenway, named the best Urban Bike Path by USA Today, and less than a mile from Bde Maka Ska. The area has several retail offerings, including the Chain of Lakes recreational area, Karmel Mall, and Cub Foods. The area’s major highways are easily accessible, making the I-394 and I-494 office corridors and downtown Minneapolis less than ten minutes away. The employment hubs offer approximately 870,000 jobs combined, including the headquarters for six Fortune 500 companies and Children’s Minneapolis Hospital – Minneapolis. The MoZaic office complex is also located across the Greenway and holds 189,00 square feet of office space and 11,000 square feet of retail space.

Weidner is the owner and manager of Blue and Lime Apartments. The company is eager to expand in the Minneapolis, MN, rental market and provide the community with high-end, quality rental homes.
