1400 Monroe, the 42-unit, seven-story luxury condominium that JK Equities is building in Chicago’s West Loop, recently sponsored a fundraiser for an adjacent pet-friendly park. The event, held on park’s sixth anniversary, raised just under $6,000 for the operation and maintenance for the park.
Designed by Booth Hansen and with residences designed by Mojo Stumer, 1400 Monroe will feature homes ranging in size from 1,242 to 1,958 square feet. The development is expected to wrap by summer 2021.
This Chicago Park District dog friendly area (DFA) opened in late summer of 2014 and is located in the West Loop neighborhood across from Skinner Park, on Monroe Street between Throop and Loomis. The fenced-in park features specialized turf, pea gravel, shade trees, water features and shaded sitting areas for pets’ human companions.
1400 Monroe Condominiums was a Silver Paw Sponsor of the fundraiser. It was estimated the event saw 600 people (100 masked people at a time) and raised just under $6,000 for the operation and maintenance for the park.
