Westmount Realty Capital hires new director of asset management

Westmount Realty Capital is pleased to announce Lucas Altoe has joined the national real estate investment firm as director of asset management. He has more than seven years of asset management experience, underwriting, disposition and portfolio management for various multifamily properties and REITs. Altoe will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and setting financial and operational goals for Westmount’s rapidly growing multifamily business unit. 

Before joining Westmount, Altoe worked as the vice president of asset management for Hudson Advisors. At Hudson, he was primarily responsible for the execution of asset business plans to maximize investor returns. He drove investment strategy and value creation through direct oversight of property operations, leasing activity, revenue management and had direct oversight of capital deployment. As vice president, Altoe managed two Class-A multifamily projects and two mixed-use developments, comprised of 1,326 multifamily units and 34,552-square-feet of retail. 

Before his role at Hudson, Altoe spent three years as the asset manager for Steadfast Apartment REIT where he was responsible for the largest region within their private real estate investment trust. In this role, he conducted financial analysis of multifamily development assets, financial modeling and analyzed market data to identify market trends. He also oversaw and monitored the performance of 35 Class-A and B multifamily projects and seven mixed-use developments, comprised of 9,718 units. 

Altoe received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance and real estate from Southern Methodist University and his bachelor’s in finance from the University of Texas at Arlington. He currently resides in Frisco, is an active Dallas TREC member, and is involved with his local church community events.
