Westmount Realty Capital Names New President

Cliff Booth

Cliff Booth, Westmount Realty Capital’s founder, president and CEO, announced he is assuming a new role as chairman with the firm he founded more than 30 years ago. Brant Brown, Westmount’s long-time chief financial officer and chief operating officer, will now serve as Westmount’s president. With an enhanced focus on company growth, Booth and Brown will continue to capitalize on the significant opportunities the firm has identified in the marketplace while building on its exceptional track record of securing and closing lucrative off-market opportunities.

The privately held, Dallas-based commercial real estate company has built and developed a highly valued portfolio of properties nationwide. Westmount has responded to the call to support the heightened interest of its numerous private and institutional capital investors by reinforcing the exponential growth and continued expansion into the developing U.S. commercial real estate market.

Westmount has leadership presence in Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas, which support its national real estate investments in the value-add multifamily, industrial and office space. Deals span markets across the country, and Westmount is now a driving force in cities in the Midwest, Southwest, Southeast and Western regions. The firm is backed by talented front-runners in addition to a long list of tenured investors from across the globe, some who have been with the firm for more than 20 years.

Brown joined Westmount in 2015 and has led the financial analysis and governance for more than $30 billion in institutional real estate and fixed income investments. In 2018, Brown was among a distinguished group of finalists for D Magazine’s Financial Executive Award, and he was a CFO of the Year finalist by the Dallas Business Journal in 2019. Brown recently served on the board of directors for the Association for Corporate Growth Dallas-Fort Worth, Financial Executives International DFW and The Real Estate Council (TREC), the largest commercial real estate organization in Texas. He also gives back to his community as a longtime advisor with Southern Methodist University’s (SMU) Cox Folsom Institute for Real Estate. His memberships include Financial Executives International (FEI), National Multifamily Housing Council (NMHC) and Urban Land institute (ULI).

Originally from Montreal, Canada, Booth moved to Dallas in 1979, where he founded Westmount  shortly thereafter. With 40 years of industry experience in commercial real estate investment and development, Booth has earned the trust of numerous U.S. and foreign institutional and private capital investors. Among his many notable achievements, he was one of the first to assemble a significant portfolio of flex industrial properties in the U.S., and he was also a pioneer investor in downtown Dallas in the 1990s. Booth has been involved with many civic and charitable organizations including the Greater Dallas Chamber, Vogel Alcove, Dallas Citizens Council, the Sammons Center for the Arts and The Real Estate Roundtable. He is currently a member of Dallas Assembly, Urban Land Institute as a governor and council member and member of the National Multifamily Housing Council.
