St. Louis-based mechancial contractor Wiegmann Associates has completed HVAC work for Hubbell Incorporated’s new $12 million, 159,000-square-foot Killark Electric facility at Fenton Logistics Park in Fenton, Missouri.

Wiegmann served as the mechanical contractor and value engineer. The general contractor was Brinkmann Constructors and the architect was M+H Architects.

Wiegmann Associates value-engineered the originally designed HVAC system to bring the project into budget. The HVAC design streamlined ductwork in the office area, redesigned cooling loads throughout and reduced capacity in the industrial and warehouse areas. Wiegmann installed a 32-zone digital controls (DDC) building automation system to optimize comfort control and energy usage in the 33,000-square-foot office space.

Wiegmann’s HVAC solution was designed to meet strict temperature requirements of the facility’s 63,200-square-foot conditioned manufacturing plant and the 63,300-square-foot warehouse. A Hubbell Incorporated brand, Killark Electric is a global provider of industrial and explosion-proof products engineered to withstand the toughest extremes in climate.

Wiegmann also is the mechanical contractor for the new Skin Specialty Solutions facility located at Fenton Logistics Park. Developed on the property of the former Chrysler assembly plant site in Fenton, MO, Fenton Logistics Park will include 2.5 million square feet of development when complete.
