Brookfield, Wis.-based Hammes Company has once again topped the annual list of America’s leading healthcare facility developers.
Hammes Company completed projects totaling 2.9 million square feet and valued at $1.112 billion, according to Modern Healthcare magazine’s 34th annual Construction and Design Survey released on March 18.
Two notable projects that contributed to the top ranking include St. Bernard Parish Hospital in Chalmette, La., and Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in East Norriton, Pa. St. Bernard, featuring a $91 million, three-story, 113,300-square-foot, 40-bed hospital and three-story, 69,000-square-foot medical office building, is the first full-service hospital to be built in greater New Orleans since Hurricane Katrina, and opened to patients Aug. 20.
Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, a full-service, acute-care hospital with 146 beds, opened in September. It is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certified building, designed to meet specifications for energy savings, water efficiency and improved indoor environmental quality.
Hammes Company has finished at or near the top of the list of top healthcare facility developers for the past 14 years, holding the No. 1 spot all but one of those years.
