The Village of Schaumburg was excited to be a part of Zurich North America’s recent groundbreaking ceremony with representatives from Zurich, the State of Illinois, and the business community.
Village President Al Larson stated, “The Zurich Towers has been a Schaumburg icon for over 25 years and we look forward to Zurich’s new headquarters becoming another iconic building in Schaumburg.”
Zurich purchased nearly 40 acres from Motorola at the northwest corner of Interstate I-90 and Meacham Road to construct their new Schaumburg headquarters.
The new Zurich campus will feature a new Schaumburg headquarters facility of 735,000 square feet with the potential to add on in the future. It is anticipated that 2,500 employees will work at the new facility when it opens in 2016.
