Stantec, a global sustainable design and engineering firm, has opened an office in downtown Milwaukee, expanding the firm’s footprint in Wisconsin.
The new office, located in the McGeoch Building at 322 E. Michigan Street, opened to 13 employees on October 1, and offers an integrated set of design services, with employees specializing in the Urban Places, Community Development, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Services, Transportation, and Water sectors.
The new 2,200-square foot office is located just north of the Third Ward and is close to the lakefront. The space is warm and inviting and highlights historic elements of the building, like exposed Cream City brick. It also offers flexible layouts that accommodate the firm’s hybrid work style.
Stantec has been a member of the Wisconsin community for more than 50 years, with growing offices in the northern Milwaukee suburb of Mequon as well as in Madison and Green Bay. The firm is involved in a number of noteworthy projects in the area, including the Green Bay Shipyard, Riverlife, Western Milwaukee Phase 2B Flood Risk Reduction Project, BMO Milwaukee Headquarters, and the Henry Wetland Restoration at Woodland Dunes Nature Center.
