Lakeview Methodist Health Care Services has completed construction of a $24 million skilled nursing community at 610 Summit Drive in Fairmont, Minnesota.
Built by Kraus-Anderson Construction and designed by Wold Architects and Engineers, the 72-bed building was created in the emerging care center design known as a “Neighborhood Concept,” which encourages companionship and sociability among residents.
Overlooking Budd and Sisseton Lakes, Lakeview Methodist offers state-of-the-art amenities for more people in a homelike, person-centered environment designed to uplift the senses and improve mental, physical and social health.
Lakeview Methodist provides 24-hour skilled nursing care for short- or long-term stays, including a wide range of health and living services for the senior experiencing the need for prolonged or extensive health care services. The long-term care provider offers physical, speech and occupational therapy, spiritual care and worship services, social work services, transitional care, IV therapy and medication assistance, as well as an activities director for intergenerational social services, daily group and individual activities.
The new 80,000 square-foot building features wider hallways, a child daycare center, restaurant-quality dining room with chef-prepared meals, overnight guest room, community rooms, gift shop, courtyard and gardens, outdoor decks and patios, and state-of-the-art monitoring and technology, as well as a beauty shop and barber services, café and laundry services.
