Darwin Realty/CORFAC International Associate Matthew Lee worked to represent a trucking company in its purchase of a new facility and a school district in its lease of new storage space in Chicago’s suburbs. Both transactions were for essential end users that needed more space to carry out their trade.
In the sale transaction, Lee represented Stela Express, a trucking company that is expanding and relocating, in its acquisition of a 21,299 square foot facility at 4707 W. 138th Street in Crestwood, IL. The trucking company outgrew its former space in Romeoville, and was attracted to the Crestwood location because of its proximity to highways, 30-foot clear height, and new roof. The seller, Bay Hill Properties, LLC, was represented by Entre Commercial’s Jeff Locascio and Chris Wilbur.
In the lease transaction, Lee represented Indian Prairie Community Unit School District #204 in its lease of 20,618 square feet at 3505 Thayer Court, Suite 300 in Aurora, Illinois. The space will be used for overflow storage of extra desks and other furniture and supplies. The facility is near the school district, and is located within Meadow Lake Corporate Center. It has 21-foot clear height, and easy access to highways. The building owner, TC Holdings Midwest, LLC, was represented by CBRE’s Ted Gates and John Hamilton.
