Kraus-Anderson has completed two remodeling projects at Windom Area Health at 2150 Hospital Drive in Windom, Minnesota.
Designed by Pope Architects, the projects include a $1.4 million 4,200-square-foot renovation of the Emergency Department and a $1.4 million 5,000-square-foot renovation of the hospital’s air handler. The mechanical and medical equipment upgrades were necessary to meet the changing needs of the community.
The Emergency Department’s renovation features a new triage with four new treatment rooms, as well as a Nurses station, Cardiac Rehabilitation room, Trauma room, and Anti-Ligature room for behavioral health patients.
The new air handler replaces several units that have been in service since the 1970s. The new handler also will provide the ventilation in the Emergency Department’s renovated area.
The projects are part of a large Master Service Agreement Kraus-Anderson has with the hospital.
