Riverside Investment and Development (Riverside), and its co-development partner Convexity Properties, have signed Antares Capital (Antares) to a long-term, 87,586-square-foot lease for floors 41 through 43 at its newest property in Chicago, 320 South Canal. The firm is a leading provider of financing to private equity-backed borrowers and a credit manager with more than $60 billion of capital under management and administration. It joins anchor tenant BMO at the property, bringing the building to 68% leased.
Antares is relocating from 500 West Monroe where the firm occupies 69,646 square feet and cites several reasons for choosing the new space including neighborhood convenience, abundant light and views, shared outdoor space, multiple building conveniences and an opportunity to create collaborative and branded space that reflects the firm’s culture.
Developed by Riverside and Convexity Properties, 320 South Canal is a 52-story, Class A trophy office tower immediately south of Union Station. It was designed by Goettsch Partners and features market leading health and wellness infrastructure, ample natural light, excellent air quality and views of Lake Michigan. The Green, a 1.5-acre privately owned outdoor park with activated amenities (the largest of its kind in Chicago’s CBD) sits on the west side of the building.
320 South Canal is one of the most well-connected properties in the West Loop. An underground pedway connects it directly to Union Station providing an easy link to the Metra concourses and Amtrak trains. There is also a CTA Loop Link at the adjacent Union Station Transit Center and easy access to the CTA Rapid Transit Blue Line is just one block south.
320 South Canal is WELL Platinum, LEED Gold and WiredScore Platinum certified.

Last week Riverside was selected as a finalist for the City of Chicago’s LaSalle Reimagined project that seeks to revitalize LaSalle Street with mixed-income residential uses and other neighborhood-oriented amenities.
