Pierson Companies, DCI Group and Ryan Companies US, Inc. held the ground-breaking ceremony for the Waukee Towne Center development in in Waukee, Iowa.
Developed by Pierson Companies, the 62-acre development will be built by DCI Group in Waukee, one of the nation’s fastest-growing cities. Ryan will build the anchor tenant space for the development. Earthwork is currently underway by Corell Contractor, Inc., while CBRE and Fischels are the commercial brokers for the development and Huff Contracting is providing construction services.
“We are very proud and excited to start this project and build a great space for one of America’s premier big box retailers,” said Matt Hillis, vice president of construction at Ryan Companies. “Ryan has a rich history of building amazing spaces across the country for great companies. But we are especially proud of our work in Waukee, which also includes The Iowa Clinic’s new south Waukee facility and a new public safety facility.”
The development will include trending shops, entertainment, and restaurants overlooking an 8-acre lake with a fountain. Seasonal amenities will include a winter ice skating rink, a summer game area, a playground, active water features, and an amphitheater.
