Oak Brook, Illinois-based The Inland Real Estate Group, LLC appointed Cathleen “Cassie” M. Hrtanek to Chief Operating Officer.
In this role, Hrtanek is responsible for Inland’s human resources, information technology, risk management, communications, marketing, and purchasing. Additionally, Hrtanek will continue to serve as the corporate secretary of many Inland member companies, primarily those involved in the syndication of real estate related securities, and is an active Board member of various Inland member companies. She will report to Tony Chereso, Chief Executive Officer and President of Inland.
Hrtanek joined Inland in 2005 as Assistant Counsel in the Inland Law Department after several years of private law firm practice. Her focus was initially on acquisition, disposition and financing commercial real estate and gradually moved to overseeing the legal work for Inland member companies involved in the syndication of real estate related securities. In the Inland Law Department, she most recently held the titles of Associate General Counsel and Senior Vice President.
Prior to joining Inland, Hrtanek was employed by Wildman Harrold Allen & Dixon LLP in Chicago. Hrtanek has been admitted to practice law in the State of Illinois and holds a B.A. in Political Science and French from the University of Notre Dame and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
