Minneapolis’ Hempel Real Estate names VP, promotes three additional employees

Hempel Real Estate added Kris Hansen as Vice President of Asset Management and promoted three employees into new roles to support the company’s investment and development activities.

Hansen will oversee a diverse portfolio of office, retail, and industrial properties. He will lead the execution of asset-level business plans, optimize financial and operational performance, oversee property management, and partner closely with leasing, accounting, construction, and capital markets teams to drive value creation across the portfolio. He joined Hempel after nearly 15 years of real estate experience, most recently as Director of Asset Management at Unico Properties in Seattle.

In addition, three current Hempel leaders were promoted to new roles.

  • Lisa Borene to Managing Director of Property Management. She previously served as Director of Property Management, where she oversaw day-to-day operations across Hempel’s growing portfolio of assets.
  • Jorgen Salveson was promoted to vice president of Development & Acquisitions after spending the last four years as an investment analyst. In his new role, Salveson will take on expanded responsibility for sourcing, evaluating, and executing new investment opportunities, as well as assisting the development team on all of its initiatives across the company’s growing portfolio.
  • Brandon Otting, formerly Hempel’s Director of Asset Management, will transition into a brokerage role focused on leasing space across Hempel’s real estate portfolio. In this new position, he will be responsible for driving leasing activity, cultivating tenant relationships, and advancing the success of Hempel’s portfolio through proactive leasing efforts.
