After a decade of working in Chicago’s coffee industry, business partners and Michiganders Alex Burbo and Rosie Quasarano moved back to their home state to launch Littlefoot Coffee Roasters. The coffee company will open a roasting facility and warehouse at 3047 Broadway Ave. SW in Grandville, Michigan, by the end of August, according to Colliers International|West Michigan.
“It was always our goal to start a roasting operation in our home state of Michigan so we can be close to family,” Quasarano said. “We spent the last year touring locations throughout Michigan and felt a big pull to Grand Rapids. It’s home to people who love and support small business, and we’re thrilled to join the amazing food and beverage community that’s here.”
Littlefoot is a coffee roaster that serves café and wholesale partners throughout the Great Lakes region and beyond. It focuses on sourcing single- farm coffees.
Littlefoot Coffee Roasters fills 2,000 square feet of a multi-tenant industrial building that was formerly occupied by a snowboard manufacturer. Littlefoot installed its coffee roaster and made updates to the space that included installing new carpet, new bathroom flooring, sinks and refinishing concrete.
