J.C. Anderson completed a headquarters build-out for Colliers International | Chicago at 71 S. Wacker Drive in Chicago. The top-tier global real estate services and investment management company signed a lease late last year to relocate from 200 S. Wacker Drive to the Class A tower, owned by The Irvine Company.
Work on the new space consisted of a build-out over existing raised flooring, a mixture of acoustical and open ceilings, ALUR demountable partitions and glazing, as well as new light fixtures and painting throughout. The construction team for J.C. Anderson was led by project executive Seth Erlich, project manager Andrew Mott and superintendent David Panfil. Nelson Architects provided the architectural services.

The 17,000-square-foot office was designed to support wellness, engagement and community and will house Colliers International Valuation and Advisory Services (CIVAS), Chicago’s Office Advisory Group and Corporate Solutions teams. Designed to LEED Platinum standards, the space includes client work space, wellness rooms and an open café-style break area with moveable furniture for easy rearrangement. The firm worked to support the and status of the property throughout its design, further demonstrating its commitment to sustainability.
Taking into account employee sentiment and current office trends to customize a workplace experience that is free from distractions, yet fosters collaboration and community, the hybrid office draws the best from open and traditional office planning models, and elevates the aesthetic and employee experience. The result is a bright and airy layout completewith 83 workspaces, of which 55 are workstations and 28 private offices.
