Michael Page, a professional recruitment consultancy, has signed a new lease at 101 N. Wacker Drive. JLL managing director Corey Siegrist represented Michael Page in the deal. The agency also worked with Reed Construction for its full-floor custom build out.
“This was an exciting opportunity to partner with a rapidly growing client and help them move into one of the West Loop’s most highly sought-after office towers,” said Siegrist. “101 N. Wacker has gone through an impressive transformation and it’s an environment that will provide an exceptional experience for the entire Michael Page team.”
Michael Page joins a strong roster of tenants inside the Class A office tower in the ever-competitive West Loop market. The firm’s Chicago office, which had 20 employees in Chicago two years ago, has already doubled in size since then and expects to be over 50 employees by the end of the year.
“Our Chicago office broke records in 2017 and 2018, and we experienced our best quarter ever recorded in Q1 of 2019. As one of the fastest-growing Michael Page offices in North America, we needed a beautiful new space to accommodate future growth,” said Charlie Ginzburg, director of the Chicago office. “We are extremely excited for the opportunities that lie ahead at 101 N. Wacker. It’s a brand new creative and collaborative environment that so perfectly supports the culture we have at Michael Page.”
Completed in 1980, the 24-story Class A office tower comprises 599,503 square feet of space. Designed by Perkins + Will, 101 N. Wacker underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2012, including lobby and common area improvements, elevator modernization, the addition of a full-service fitness center, bike room and enhancements to the building’s facade with the addition of a continuous floor-to-ceiling glass curtain. In addition, building systems were updated to reduce operating expenses, and nearly 90 percent of the tenant spaces were rebuilt.
