Cushman & Wakefield|CRESCO just landed a big office leasing assignment in Cleveland. Stark Enterprises has enlisted the brokerage to market its much-anticipated nuCLEus development.

nuCLEus will be Cleveland’s first new CBD office tower in a decade. The mixed-use development in the city’s Gateway District will rise 24 floors and include 400,000 square feet of Class-A office space.

Nate Kelly, managing director with Cushman & Wakefield|CRESCO, said that demand for Class-A office space in Cleveland is now at a high point. The timing, then, is right for a project such as nuCLEus, he said.

“Renovation and conversion has led downtown development for years,” Kelly said in a statement. “However, new construction is exactly what the Cleveland market needs right now.”

The nuCLEus development will include 38,000 square feet of amenities, including a pool, fitness center, spa, meeting space, pet wash and conference center. The project will also include 80,000 square feet of retail space.

nuCLEus will be located in the center of downtown Cleveland. The project is a minute’s walk from Cleveland attractions such as the Playhouse District, Q Arena, Progressive Field and East 4th.

“This project is inspired by key developments around the globe and reflects Stark’s vision for what downtown Cleveland deserves in its first central business district high rise in a generation,” said Jim Krivanek, vice president at Cushman & Wakefield|CRESCO. “We are honored to be a part of such an important and exciting project.”
