The former Silpada Jewelry headquarters in Lenexa, Kansas, sold to Heart to Heart International, thanks in part to the efforts of Newmark Grubb Zimmer.
Silpada Jewelry was started in Kansas City in the late 1990s by two local families who built it into a $600 million company. In 2004, the founders constructed their Class-A headquarters in Lenexa at 115th Street and Renner Boulevard.
The building is about 150,000 square feet with 85,000 square feet of Class-A office and 65,000 square feet of modern industrial warehouse. The building was made available for sale in 2016 when the company decided to close its doors.
The Newmark Grubb Zimmer team of Scott Bluhm, David Zimmer, Tracey Mann and Nick Pickard were engaged by the Silpada founders to market the property.
Because of the large amount of high-quality heavy office finish along with a modern warehouse, HHI’s business model was a perfect fit to best utilize the former Silpada facility. HHI is a nonprofit international health organization that provides health care access to less fortunate communities, specifically those recently hit by natural disasters.
