Commercial real estate firm Jones Lang LaSalle is expanding its presence in downtown St. Louis with plans to move its valuation and advisory services division from Clayton, Missouri, to One Metropolitan Square, where the company’s brokerage, property management and project development services divisions are currently located.
The firm has approximately 150 employees in the St. Louis market. To accommodate employees in all service lines, as well as future growth, JLL will relocate from the 20th floor to a new custom office on the 29th floor of One Metropolitan Square. The move is tentatively planned for January 2019.
David Steinbach, managing director of JLL’s St. Louis office, said, “One Metropolitan Square has served us well for as long as we’ve been in St. Louis, so it makes sense to consolidate our operations and bring all of our service lines and employees here under one roof. We see great things happening downtown and we are proud to recommit to an area that we consider to be the core of the St. Louis Metropolitan region.”
JLL also serves as property manager for One Metropolitan Square. The building’s ownership group invested $2.5 million in upgrades to the building in 2018, and plans are in the works for more amenities to be added in the near future.
The Eatery food hall debuted on the ground floor of One Metropolitan Square earlier this year with three tenants – Arista Gourmet, Dino’s Deli, and Kimcheese Asian Fusion. Hiro Poke Co. joined as the fourth tenant this summer, bringing The Eatery to full capacity.
