Morgan / Harbour promotes Sylvester Gasiorek

Morgan / Harbour Construction has promoted Sylvester Gasiorek to estimating manager from his previous role as a senior estimator. Gasiorek joined the firm in 2014 as an estimator and has quickly advanced within the department.

“Sylvester brought more than 20 years in construction to his role with Morgan / Harbour and has played an integral part in the growth of our estimating department throughout the past four years,” said Ben Warriner, executive vice president. “His experience, leadership and commitment to quality are among the many reasons we value his place on our team and appreciate his commitment to the firm and our values.”

As estimating manager, Gasiorek will be responsible for all aspects of the estimating process including timely review of RFPs, overseeing the weekly estimating department meetings and managing the schedule for estimating due dates and walk-throughs. He will also help to train and mentor estimating team staff as well as provide clients with on-going progress and communications.

Gasiorek is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He received his MBA in management information systems from Northern Illinois University and a bachelor of science in industrial technology and construction management from Illinois State University. He also holds an associate arts degree from the College of DuPage in architecture. Gasiorek is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a 30-hour certification in OSHA training.
