NAI Wisinski of West Michigan brokers Tim Platt, Cameron Timmer and Russ Bono have listed the former Kmart property at 3530 Henry Street in Norton Shores, Michigan. This is the first redevelopment opportunity for the 16.27-acre property since the site was originally developed in 1970. It is listed for $4.2 million.
“This is a rare opportunity to have approximately 16 acres of land for redevelopment in one of the most densely populated areas in the Muskegon area,” said Tim Platt. “The Henry Street corridor has been an integral part of the Muskegon area retail picture since the 1960s.”
The property is currently owned by RD Management, LLC, of New York City. The site consists of two buildings, which have been used for various retail businesses and restaurants in the years since Kmart closed its doors. The site is zoned for retail and planned unit development and can be used for a mix of commercial, retail, office space and housing.
