Jones Lang LaSalle notched an important project when the Ramsey County Regional Rail Authority in St. Paul, Minn., chose it to act as property manager and retail leasing agent for the St. Paul Union Depot.
The rail facility is in the middle of a $243 million transformation from a defunct rail station to a busy transit center. The hope is that the project will provide a boost to St. Paul’s Lowertown neighborhood.
The project is a big one for the future of this city and how people get around in it. The Twin Cities’ new light-rail transit line, a line that connects the downtown areas of Minneapolis and St. Paul, will end at the station.
The light-rail line will eventually provide high-speed rail service to Chicago.
