Minnetonka, Minn.-based Welsh Construction has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Development Center.
To earn such certification, Welsh had to go through an in-depth review. The process is designed to confirm that the business is at least 51 percent owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.
“We’re thrilled to now be among the ranks of some of the most prestigious woman-owned businesses in the country,” said Jean Kane, chief executive officer of Welsh Companies, in a written statement. “Celebrating diversity is more than just recognizing women, it’s about bringing the best and brightest minds to the table to provide a unique perspective and the highest level of service possible to our customers.”
