T. Boone Pickens, one of the world’s richest men, will headline the seven annual Land Investment Expo on Jan. 24 at the Sheraton Hotel in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Pickens’ keynote presentation is titled “Powering America’s Energy and Economic Future: A Conversation with T. Boone Pickens.”

Pickens founded Mesa Petroleum and built it into one of the largest independent natural gas and oil companies in the United States before he departed the company in 1996. Since then, Pickens has founded BP Capital, a successful energy investment fund. He has also launched a five-year initiative known as the Pickens Plan, a plan to address the national security and economic risks associated with the United States’ dependence of OPEC oil.
