Hilliker Corporation has sold Johnny’s Market, a family-owned and -operated grocery store in St. Louis that closed its doors in 2012 after 68 years in business. Its new owner has future redevelopment plans for the 2.5-acre property that features the more than 20,000-square-foot store.

Hilliker Corporation agent Will Aschinger represented the seller, Jon-Del Investments, LLC. K2 Commercial Group represented itself as the buyer for the property located at 11555 Gravois Rd. K2 Commercial Group is a real estate and retail developer located in St. Louis. Future plans are still being reviewed and determined.

Johnny’s Market was a South St. Louis institution that featured a variety of local produce and foods. Owner Debbie Loeffelman, the daughter of founders John and Adel Loeffelman, ran the business for its last 35 years.
