V3 Companies Ltd. has acquired Niemeyer & Associates, P.C., Ringwood, IL, bolstering its full-service, rail-related engineering services.

Founded in 1989 by Ted Niemeyer, P.E., Niemeyer & Associates brings expertise in planning, evaluation, design, maintenance and construction-related engineering services to V3. These capabilities include strong experience with Class I railroads, short line railroads and private railroads both in the United States and internationally.

Heading up the expanded rail engineering practice area is Ted Niemeyer, V3’s new Director of Rail Services. Ted brings more than 40 years of significant railroad experience to V3, including 18 years in engineering management for the Chicago & NorthWestern Railway and 25 years as Founder and Principal of Niemeyer & Associates.

“We are extremely excited about the acquisition of Niemeyer & Associates, and the impact it will have on our growing rail practice,” said Lou Gallucci, V3’s Executive Vice President. “The acquisition brings with it several ongoing contracts with Class I railroads, as well as a network of former railroaders located throughout the U.S. from varying railroad engineering department backgrounds. Ted and his team of experienced associates now allow V3 to deliver a wide range of quality rail services throughout the country and the world.”
