Rainbows For All Children held its 28th Annual Golf Classic, the organization’s largest fundraising event, June 20 at the Royal Melbourne Country Club in Long Grove, Illinois.
This year, the organization honored Breck Hanson, vice chairman and Chicago market president of Associated Bank, who for 25 years has served as the Rainbows Golf Classic Event Chair and made significant contributions to Rainbows’ mission of helping grieving children. In total, Hanson has helped the organization raise more than $5 million during his tenure.
Rainbows For All Children (Rainbows) helps raise awareness and provide support to children dealing with grief and loss from death, divorce, deployment or other trauma. Rainbows fosters awareness that youth require support to heal by nurturing a community of trained Facilitators, supported with a repository of resources designed to guide youth in their grieving process.
The organization raised more than $165,000 this year, a significant increase of $15,000 compared to the $150,000 raised last year.
