Builtech Services LLC, a national general contracting and construction management firm, announced the appointments of industry veterans John Wilson to senior superintendent and Todd Hicks to senior project manager.
Wilson will draw on his extensive industry expertise to oversee company growth and manage Builtech’s continued market diversification by establishing opportunities in corporate interiors. He has more than five million square feet of corporate interiors experience as a superintendent for clients including Wells Fargo, Zebra Technologies, Integrys Energy, Edelman, Houlihan Lokey, Akzo Nobel and Mintel.
He most recently served for five years as senior superintendent of Hoffman Estates-based Leopardo Companies. He previously worked for ICM Inc. as a senior superintendent and at Amec Spie as a superintendent.
Hicks will serve as senior project manager for Builtech Services. He has spent the past three years as a project manager for Lend Lease before a previous 11-year term as project manager for James McHugh Construction Company.
Hicks has overseen a wide variety of projects including high-rise buildings, parking structures, restaurants and hotels. Clients include the Field Museum of Natural History, Information Resources, Inc., Gibsons Bar and Steakhouse, Northwestern University, Kimpton Hotels, Four Seasons Chicago, Renaissance Chicago, The Parking Spot, Chicago Scenic Studios and The Franciscan Sisters of Chicago.
Founded in 2002, Builtech has provided general contracting and construction management services across a wide-range of industries, including industrial, residential, retail, hospitality and office interiors. The company’s portfolio includes work for Jones Lang Lasalle, CBRE, TD Ameritrade, Sterling Bay, L3 Capital, and The Second City.
Builtech Interiors Group operates out of new offices at 1021 W. Adams in Chicago’s West Loop. The offices will provide room for planned expansion over the next several months. In addition to serving as divisional HQ, numerous Builtech team members serving other vertical markets will be transitioning to the West Loop location. Builtech’s corporate headquarters remain in Schaumburg, Ill.
