For the first time in almost 50 years, the circular fine dining restaurant at the top of Lake Point Tower is hitting the market. Dr. Dame Evangeline Gouletas, owner of the restaurant, Cité Chicago, is seeking a buyer for the space to continue it as a restaurant or convert it to another commercial use or even a residential penthouse.

“It’s time,” said Dr. Gouletas. “I’m an urban, luxury, high-rise real estate developer and there are many new projects ahead of me that require my focus.”

Because the restaurant is circular with floor to ceiling windows, every seat in the house has breathtaking views. The iconic clover shaped black glass tower is the only building East of Lake Shore Drive and overlooks Navy Pier, Lake Michigan and the Harbor. Rick Scardino of Lee & Associates is marketing the space

Cité will remain open until the restaurant is sold. The total space available is 7,536 square feet which includes restaurant offices, a kitchen prep room and storage spaces on the second floor. The total square footage on the 70th floor is 4,706 square feet.
