AECOM has appointed Jeannette Lenear Peruchini, IIDA, LEED AP, as managing principal and director of interiors for its design and consulting services group.

Peruchini has over 18 years of experience in the architecture and design industry, securing and managing complex projects around the world. In her new role, Peruchini will be responsible for the overall leadership of AECOM’s Building + Places group and management of the interiors team in Chicago.

“Jeannette brings an impressive track record of leadership and design excellence to our Chicago practice,” said Bane Gaiser, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, senior vice president, Buildings + Places, Americas. “Her industry experience and interdisciplinary approach makes Jeannette the right leader as AECOM continues to grow in Chicago.”

Prior to joining AECOM, Peruchini led the interior architecture practice at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill in Chicago. Over the course of her career, she has partnered with clients such as Google, Motorola, The Baltimore Sun and The American College of Surgeons, to create identifiable, high-performing and engaging environments.

“Today’s climate is drastically different than anything we have experienced before. The ongoing pandemic and our ability to leverage technology as we adapt to our current situation has everyone questioning what the lasting impacts will be on our workplace, social interactions and communities,” Peruchini said. “AECOM’s interdisciplinary practice is uniquely positioned to help our clients navigate these uncertain times. I am thrilled to join AECOM and to bring our strategic thinking and design capabilities to the Chicagoland Market and beyond.”

Peruchini holds a masters in business administration from the University of Notre Dame, Mendoza College of Business and a bachelor of landscape architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
