Principle Construction Corp. announced that Alexander Olen has joined the team as a senior estimator.
In his new role, Olen will be responsible for conceptual budgeting, estimating, competitive subcontractor bidding, value engineering, assisting project managers in purchasing and awarding of subcontracts and complete client management on the pre-construction phase. He will also prepare schedules and secure permits.
Prior to joining Principle, Olen has more than 31 years of construction experience, including working as a lead estimator for a Chicago-area general contractor. He was a member of the Construction Management faculty at Westwood College for seven terms.
He is a certified Project Management Professional, a LEED Green Associate and a Six Sigma Green Belt. Olen is also involved in several construction industry organizations, including the Project Management Institute, the American Society for Quality and the U.S. Green Building Council.
