Susan Uhlarik, senior project manager at McShane Construction Co., has received the “Outstanding Project Manager of 2011-2012″ award by the members of the Association of Subcontractors and Affiliates (ASA Chicago). The award was presented to Uhlarik at ASA Chicago’s annual award dinner held on May 3.
ASA Chicago bestows the honor annually to a single individual within the Chicago construction community who most exemplifies the highest standards of excellence, commitment to quality, teamwork and professionalism. According to ASA Chicago, the honor is bestowed upon a “highly efficient professional manager who smoothly, skillfully and fairly coordinates and schedules the work of the various trades, an astute planner who assures that the site is accessible and available for material deliveries, a project manager who is reliable, dependable and meets commitments to subcontractors and suppliers.”
Uhlarik joined McShane in 2006 and continues to play an integral role in the success of the McShane Construction Midwest operations.
Since joining the firm, Uhlarik has contributed her project management expertise to an array of high-profile projects including the 19-building Park Douglas multi-family project on Chicago’s west side; three sophisticated regional switching center assignments for a global cellular provider; and a multi-tenant medical office building in Hoffman Estates.
Uhlarik holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and is a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional.
