Atria Senior Living has grown its Chicago presence with the opening of Atria Highland Park. The three-story, more than 72,000-square-foot community features 86 apartments, 64 for assisted living and 22 in a dedicated memory care neighborhood. The community has welcomed its first new residents in compliance with Atria’s COVID-19 safety protocols.
The community was developed by Capitol Seniors Housing and designed by Moseley Architects with interior design by StudioSIX5. It is Atria’s fifth community in the Chicago area. Last year, the company opened Atria Glenview, located 20 minutes away from Highland Park.
Atria Highland Park is located on a 2.6-acre site at 1000 Central Avenue, within walking distance of Sunset Woods Park and overlooking Sunset Valley Golf Club. The community offers all-inclusive amenities such as an art studio, movie theater, fitness center, salon and spa, library and wellness center offering health check-ups and monitoring, along with conveniences like housekeeping, concierge service and scheduled transportation. Outdoor features include a courtyard, grill and second-floor terrace. Residents also enjoy chef-prepared meals at several dining venues: a restaurant with table service, café and private dining room.
“We are excited to open our doors and serve even more Chicago-area families. Atria Highland Park is a beautiful community where residents will enjoy quality service and amenities,” said Kevin Ronk, senior vice president at Atria Senior Living. “We are prepared with detailed COVID-19 safety protocols in place and have adapted to allow safe connections and interactions among residents and family members.”
Beginning in early March, Atria implemented extensive measures throughout its communities in the U.S. and Canada to help protect residents from COVID-19 and continues to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as well as local and state authorities. New residents and employees must receive a negative COVID-19 test result prior to their move-in or start date. After move-in, new residents will be tested again and supported by staff wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Individuals may learn more about Atria’s COVID-19 response measures on the website AtriaSafeTogether.com.
