Austin, Texas-based ECR announced that Stephen McMillen has been promoted from Research Analyst to Brokerage Advisor, the latest success story to come out of the firm’s Research Analyst program.
The RA program gives people a way into commercial real estate brokerage without requiring an existing book of business or industry contacts. Analysts work directly on market research, underwriting, and deal support alongside ECR’s brokers, building the skills and relationships they need before stepping into production themselves.
McMillen joined ECR’s RA program in August 2025, supporting the brokerage and marketing teams with market research and by tracking properties and tenants across Austin. In his new role, he moves into brokerage full time.
Stephen joins several other ECR brokers who came up through the Research Analyst program before moving into production roles. The promotion reflects ECR’s continued investment in growing brokerage talent internally, at a time when the industry is short on young brokers coming up through the ranks.
