Avison Young has acquired Chicago-based real estate development firm Mesa Development, LLC.
Mesa Development specializes in the development of urban mixed-use projects that incorporate the principles of transit-oriented development. Projects that the company has completed in Chicago include the 72-story Legacy at Millennium Park luxury condominium tower, 57-story Heritage at Millennium Park condo tower and the mixed-income Park Boulevaard project at 35th Street and State Street.
Richard Hanson and James Hanson have now become principals of Avison Young. Richard Hanson brings 40 years of real estate experience, while James Hanson brings 28 years of capital markets and development experience to the company.
