Baldwin Supply an independently owned Midwest distributor of industrial components and supplies, is tripling the size of its Sioux Falls, South Dakota, branch to more than 50,000 square feet.
The investment builds on 25 years of growth in the Sioux Falls market, expanding the company’s capacity to serve customers while strengthening a key hub in its growing Midwest network.
Since opening in 2001, Baldwin’s Sioux Falls branch at 908 E. Amidon Street has grown into a regional hub serving customers throughout South Dakota, neighboring western states, southwest Minnesota, and northwest Iowa. The branch serves OEM and MRO customers across the aggregate, agriculture, construction, food and beverage, manufacturing, meat and poultry, and mining industries.
Baldwin distributes a broad range of industrial components and supplies, including mechanical power transmission products, conveyor belts, electric motors, fluid power products, and automation products. The Sioux Falls branch is a major stocking location for trusted suppliers, including Dodge, Fenner Dunlop, Martin Sprocket & Gear, PPI, and U.S. Tsubaki.
The Sioux Falls branch is also home to one of Baldwin’s five regional conveyor belt service teams, which provide onsite installation and fabrication of industrial rubber and plastic components as well as custom belting solutions. Similar capabilities are available through Baldwin’s facilities in the Twin Cities and Appleton, Wisconsin, giving customers access to an established regional service network.
The Sioux Falls expansion will provide additional warehouse and office space, allowing Baldwin to stock deeper local inventory and give customers faster access to the products they need to keep their operations running. A dedicated customer training center will offer technical education and hands-on training, helping customers build their knowledge and make more effective use of the equipment and applications they rely on. A new indoor truck pull-through with an overhead crane system will improve loading safety and efficiency while keeping freight operations protected from the weather.
The Sioux Falls investment is part of Baldwin’s continued growth across the central Midwest. The company recently opened its first Nebraska branch in Omaha and expanded its regional presence through the acquisition of Construction & Aggregate Products (CAP), which added locations in Des Moines, Iowa, and Lenexa, Kansas. Baldwin now operates 14 branches across the Midwest.
The Sioux Falls expansion is being led by Reynolds Construction Management and is expected to be completed in early 2027. Baldwin plans to host an open house following completion.
