The Auction Services Group, headquartered in downtown Chicago, will be conducting the auction of 21800 S. Cicero Ave., Matteson, on June 28. The auction will be held at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook, 1401 W. 22nd St., Oak Brook, at 2 p.m. The property will be sold without reserve subject to the approval of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.
In addition to the warehouse, the Auction Services Group will be offering two I-57 frontage development parcels in Matteson.
The following is a brief description of the properties being offered at the June 28 auction: 21800 S. Cicero Ave., Matteson, was constructed in 1970. The one story, multi-tenant distribution warehouse building situated on 18. 8 acres fronts on I-57, one mile south of a full four-way interchange at Lincoln Highway and I-57 and is also one mile north of a full four-way interchange at Sauk Trail and I-57. I-80 is just minutes away.
The building is 45 miles southeast from O’Hare International Airport, 20 miles south of Midway Airport and 30 miles southwest from Chicago’s CBD. The property adjoins the Canadian National Railway. The building features 24-foot ceiling clearance, 50-foot by 40-foot bays, 40 exterior docks with levelers and seven drive-in doors. The warehouse facility has been well maintained and offers flexibility for both users and investors.
Also included in the auction are two I-57 frontage industrial development sites in Matteson. The 53-acre site is located on Gateway Drive in the Southgate Commerce Center and borders the 21800 Cicero Ave. warehouse building. The 63-acre site features I-57 frontage and is located on the east side of Central Avenue just south of Lincoln Highway immediately south of the Matteson Auto Mall. Both development parcels have all utilities available to each site.
