Becovic Residential, a Chicago-based multifamily owner and operator, has added a three-story corner courtyard multifamily building to its northside portfolio. The Damen Fargo, located at 7381 N. Damen in Chicago, sold for $4 million. The transaction was brokered by Matt Feo and Rick Ofman with Chicago-based Essex Realty Group and financed by Associated Bank. Becovic Management Group will be managing the property.
Built in 1929, the building’s 34 residential unit mix includes 27 two bedroom units and seven three-bedroom units. All units have spacious floor plans with nicely renovated kitchens, baths and
hardwood flooring throughout.
The Damen Fargo is located near Pottawatomie Park and is a short half-mile to the Howard Red
Line and walking distance to the Clark bus line. The busy Howard Street Corridor is two blocks
north of the property while Gateway Centre Plaza is a seven-minute walk northeast of the
property providing residents with national big box retail chains. The popular local dining and
entertainment destination of Jarvis Square is within 15 minutes walking distance and features a
