Ernie Katai has been promoted to executive vice president and head of production at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage.
Katai succeeds Karl Reinlein, who is stepping down from day-to-day production after 17 years.
Katai was formerly a senior vice president and branch manager of Berkadia’s Detroit office. In his new role, which becomes effective Feb. 22, Katai will be responsible for the oversight of Berkadia’s national origination network, which spans more than 50 offices across the country.
