BIG Construction adds to senior project manager team with hire, promotions

BIG Construction, a Chicago-based construction management firm, announced the promotion of Kevin Chua and Tyler Federspill and the hiring of Michael Prochno to support BIG’s growing portfolio of large-scale projects.

Chua and Federspill have both managed foundational projects for BIG, playing an integral role in the company’s success, and have been promoted to senior project managers. As senior project managers, Chua and Federspill will support BIG’s growth by managing large-scale, multi-floor projects and mentoring the expanding operations staff.

Chua oversaw Grubhub’s Chicago office transformation, a 165,000-square-foot, five-floor renovation, and is currently managing CareerBuilder’s 90,000-square-foot headquarters buildout. Federspill managed Emergency Nurses Association’s 40,000-square-foot stand-alone building renovation and is currently overseeing a 70,000-square-foot relocation for an insurance client.

Prochno has joined the team as a senior project manager. He joins BIG from Executive Construction where he served as project manager. Prochno has eight years of experience managing tenant interior buildouts in Chicago’s construction industry, such as Uber’s 80,000-square-foot, four-floor office and Amalgamated Bank of Chicago’s 60,000-square-foot office and ground floor retail space.
