Chicago’s tallest building, Willis Tower, might have a new owner soon according to Crain’s. New York-based Blackstone Group LP has a preliminary agreement to acquire the 110-story building for about $1.5 billion, according to a person familiar with the matter. If the deal goes through, it will be a record office-property sale for Chicago, the third-largest U.S. city.
